6 months

6 months!  Half a year has already passed, it is unbelievable.  Little Miss Eva is growing every day in every way! It is incredible how independent she is becoming (compared to 6 months ago)!  She is eager to get around.  She tries so hard to get that special item she has her eyes set on (or should I say mouth?).  Everything goes straight to her mouth with delight!  Her smile lights up a room and her hugs are the absolute best!  Happy 1/2 birthday, looking forward to many more firsts (especially birthday cake in 6 months)!

Eva's milestones

• got her first taste of solids-avocado, sweet potato, and banana
• progressing toward crawling-she can get in the crawling stance and tends to move across the room like a worm
• can sit up unassisted for a short time
• get's super excited when she sees Sable (and is even a bit more gentle with her)
• starting to get a little separation anxiety
• HATES getting her nose wiped
• is OBSESSED with Dad's cell phone and taking selfies
• recognizes Mom and Dad

Chris and Marlena's milestones

• stay-at-home Dad is getting mastered
• made it through the first 1/2 of Eva's first year
• can't believe it has been 1/2 a year already

Little Lady

Avocado

Yum!  Eva got her first real taste of food.  I mixed my yummy breast milk with a delicious, mashed avocado!  I'm not sure if Eva was actually into eating or rather just liked stuffing the spoon in her mouth!  Either way it was a great first for the books!

When Mom's away Baby will play

Uh-oh, caught red handed! Over the weekend Eva had quite the adventure at the neighbors house in Pueblo.  She got into the fridge...and well, the rest is history!

Daddy and Daughter playdate

While I was at work the other day Chris and Eva spent some time at the park.  It was a beautiful day for Eva to enjoy some swing time and Chris to practice his photo skills!  I missed being with them, but I LOVE the pictures of my sweet baby girl.

Eva's First Halloween

Happy Halloooooooooooween!  For her first big Halloween Eva got all dolled up as Minnie Mouse! On this special occasion we headed to my mom's house.  We ate some delicious pumpkin shaped pizza, watched Eva try to crawl, went trick or treating to about 5 houses, and then headed home.

Not only was it Eva's first Halloween, but she also marked this great day with her first cold.  But, a cold will not hold her back.  I am truly amazed with her.  Here she is with pink eye (in both eyes), a cough, congestion, and a snotty nose and she still manages to give us the best smiles and continues to work hard to get moving!  This little lady is certainly something if she won't let her first cold hold her back!
